According to the UN, the most dangerous place for a woman is her home. The number one reason why women can’t leave abusive, dangerous homes? Finances. So, Santander decided to raise public awareness for the issue by building a house in the Oculus World Trade Center that demonstrated why it’s so hard to leave an abusive home. The immersive experience used the stories of real survivors to show that leaving abuse is never as easy as just leaving.

The public was invited to walk through a house that represented the stages to leaving an abusive relationship, made entirely from the real stories of domestic violence survivors.

The majority of my responsibilities were writing the website, the social copy, app copy, and creating social videos for the project.

When we were tasked with designing a cover for This Month in Boston, a monthly publication that covers the events happening around Beantown, we had the idea to reimagine it as This Month in America to bring attention to the gun violence epidemic in the United States.

We partnered with Stop Handgun Violence, a non-profit organization committed to ending gun violence, and encouraged people to send Mitch McConnell a postcard with their, “thoughts and prayers,” for gun reform.
